I have been a therapist working with adolescents for the past 15 years. I stumbled across the leaders guide in a storage closet on the job and read it my first week on the job before my time got filled with clients. I loved the idea so much and really wanted to run the group but I got caught up and never made it happen until this year....four years after reading the leader's guide! I am currently part way through my third running of this group and the teens have really loved it! I had some slack from the agency at first because the group had the work "sexual" in it, lol, but it has been a great group and I would love to talk with others who have run the groups.
Now I didn't read it, but I think it must work because after I sent this to my teenaged niece she refused to speak to me for two months.
Excellent resource for working with teens on understanding the issues related to dating violence. Straight forward and honest without condemning. Highly recommended for anyone working with teens.
I bought this book to read and then let teen daughter read. It is easy and quick to read. The ideas are clearly presented and I would strongly recommend this book to any teen girl.
